Areas of focus
The next digital renaissance is among us and blockchain is a crucial contributor to this evolution

BIS will have a particular focus on how emerging technologies like blockchain, artificial intelligence, and big data will impact the future of our planet.

The Current & Future State of the Global ICO Market and Regulation

$18,051,569,117 has been raised in the ICO space as of August 2018 which is a 10x growth year-over-year. Europe is leading the charge as they have conducted 45% of these ICO’s. Our partners, Sapphire Labs, and Sentry Cyber Security have been in the Bitcoin, Blockchain, and ICO space since 2012 and are some of the most successful organizations navigating this space and will educate our audience on their experiences bringing successful Blockchain projects and ICO’s to market. With 55% of ICO’s developed in Q2 2018 looming collapse according to data from ICORATING.com, and cybersecurity becoming the make or break factor, it’s essential we educate our participants on why and what we do to mitigate this for our clients.

Digital Assets & Secondary Markets, Exchanges & Trading Market Structure and Blockchain Cyber Security

With recent announcements like Union Bank AG out of Liechtenstein becoming the first licensed bank to launch their own cryptocurrency, The ICE (NYSE parent company) launching their Bakkt platform to provide a seamless global network enabling crypto enthusiasts to operate their digital spending in a feasible manner, and Goldman Sachs opening a trading desk for derivatives and Bitcoin futures the Digital Assets & Secondary Markets Trading arena is poised for monumental change. During our summit we will host fireside chats with speakers who have served the Securities Exchange Commission, Fintech lawyers with deep blockchain experience and other major wall st. key players in this space. Additionally, as the advent of any new technology brings the potential for misuse and security breaches, BIS will explore cyber security topics and debate around the security of these new transaction methods.

Compliance Identity & Traceability

BIS will foster discussion about how blockchain technology is transforming industries that rely on the traceability of transactions and user activity – from banking and investment to medical records. This approach actually puts us in a better position to offer our services to our clients. Due to our work culture and methods, we have less constraints to impede our work.

Mark Cuban

As a lifelong business strategist and early adopter of emerging technologies, Mark is a great supporter of blockchain technology and a believer in its potential. His ability to identify promising technologies and business models has earned him a reputation as a trusted business expert. As a “Shark” on ABC’s hit show Shark Tank and an investor in an ever-growing profile of businesses, Mark stays on the cutting edge of the latest technologies and trends in business.

Mark has been a natural businessman since the age of 12, when he sold garbage bags door to door. After graduating from Indiana University – where he briefly owned the most popular bar in town – Mark moved to Dallas. After a dispute with an employer who wanted him to clean instead of closing an important sale, Mark created MicroSolutions, a computer consulting service, which he sold to CompuServe in 1990.

In 1995, Mark and long-time friend Todd Wagner came up with an internet-based solution to not being able to listen to Hoosiers Basketball games in Texas. That solution was Broadcast.com, which streamed audio over the internet. In just four years, Broadcast.com (then Audionet) was sold to Yahoo for $5.6 billion dollars.

Since his acquisition of the Dallas Mavericks in 2000, he has overseen the Mavs competing in the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history in 2006 - and becoming NBA World Champions in 2011. They are currently listed as one of Forbes' most valuable franchises in sports. Mark is also chairman and CEO of AXS TV, a cable television network.
